Inventor of the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, Zaphod Beeblebrox was 'outed' today as a homosexual. The news was immediately received with shock and horror in the Bible-Belt of the United States, where Douglas Adams' books were being burned last night. As Mr Adams died in May 2001, it's not known where this information has come from, but it's thought that the allegations of homosexuality originated on a blog, where a certain AnnaMaLformed wrote "Beeblebrox is a big puff" in response to a fan posting last week.

Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair's refusal to resign over the shooting of innocent Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes, was defended yesterday when he admitted that 'lessons had been learned and a period of re-training would be implemented for all armed police officers'. Sir Ian, who has been criticised in a police watchdog report, said he would be issuing copies of Razzle, Forum and Men Only to all armed personnel so that they could become fully familiar with the difference between a Brazilian and a bona fide terrorist.
